Clean steps; safe space
PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF DENGUE FEVER
Under the clean Sri Lanka National Action Plan, the Clean steps-Safe space project was held in all schools across the country on 09.07 2025 with the theme of creating an environmentally conscious, socially responsible educational environment.Dengue eradication Shramadhana was also implemented under this project in our school.
During this, our Palamunai Regional Medical Officer of Health (MOH) gave an explanation on various issues related to public health eradication awareness organized by the students were held in our school premises
WORLD ENVIRONMENT WEEK EVENTS AT OUR SCHOOL
As per the circular of the Ministry of Education, various work projects are underway in our school to celebrate World Environment Week.
In that regard, a lecture on biodiversity and conservation was given to our school students in assembly on June 2nd to commemorate*Biodiversity Conservation Day*.
We would like to thank Mr.AL.Iyoob, a geography lecturer at Southeastern University of Sri Lanka, for his lecture, and the Hidaya Environmental Society for preparing and hosting the event.
Seeking Assistance from the Tri-Forces for the school
Under the aforementioned work plan ,the Air Force officials from the Ampara division of the Sri Lanka Air Force visited the school and assessed the needs of the school.
The school community expresses its gratitude to the officials who accepted the invitation and visited.
Vidyaramba festival for this year's grade 01 of Plamunai AL/Hidaya Ladies College was presided over by the principal of the college B.Muhajireen.
Mrs.M.Sithy Fathima Anas(SLEAS),Deputy Director of Education,Akkaraipattu along with retired principal MC.Abdul Samad ,Palmunai Minhai Maha Vidyalaya principal KL.Ubaithulla,principal of Mahasinul Uloom Arabic College AL.Sajith Hussain(baghavi) ,school development Committee secretary and lecturer AL.Ayoob,school development Committee member and lecturer Dr.AH.Rifas,accountant MF.Farhan ,management officer ALM.Ranees alumni of the school ,other members of SDEC,OBA ,parents and well-wishers also graced the occasion.
In this event ,newly admitted first-grade students were welcomed into the school premises with a band perfomance and traditional 'polladi song dance'.Furthermore ,the various art and cultural programs of the second-grade students captivated everyone's mind.The school extendsits gratitude to everyone who cooparated in making the event success.

The Clean Sri Lanka programme has been officially launched in our school. Furthermore, actions for this are being continuously implemented.
